In this talk Chihiro will share learnings on decolonial analysis in the climate movement. She will share about tactics and practices to put climate racism on the map in Dutch movement and organizations. After 45 minutes of introduction there is the opportunity to ask questions and discuss local anti-oppression movement building visions and challenges.
After the talk, followed by a break, we will also have a workshop!
In this workshop part we will break out in four groups with an assignment. You will receive an outline for a possible campaign target. Two groups will do a creative vision-boarding assignment on what victory could look and smell like. Two groups will do an assignment to assess capacity in regards to feasible objectives and tactics. After some time two groups will come together and brainstorm converging insights of vision and capacity assessment. In the end converged group 1 & converged group 2 will present to eachother.
About the speaker
Chihiro Geuzebroek is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, organizer and trainer in decolonial climate justice perspectives and practices. She is Bolivian-Dutch with Quechua ancestry born and raised in Amsterdam. She is the Director Producer of feature doc Radical Friends & Co-founder of Aralez Foundation.
